Bringing my ideas to life..

The dinning room set

The first piece of furniture I have created, although not very clear, I am very happy with this, I used bits of bark I found out and about, moss, stones and straw. I have then used glue to secure it all together. As I wanted to show a really natural model, I have used moss to cover any of the glue showing, this seems to work really well. The stones work well for stability. If creating this again I would use more quirky unusual pieces of bark instead of making stereotypical chairs. After the house is built I will research what kind of feasts a fairy would have and fill the table with foods and colouful drinks.
I then continued to use the methods I had used when creating this table set, to go on and make other pieces of furniture and also changing the shape of the bark to a more nature look with curves and dents. I also decided to use the rough side of the bark, as this looks more natural as well.

I made a desk, this was quite and easy task as I just had to think mall. I made tiny pencils using twigs and placed them in a thimble for a pencil holder, the books were made using paper and coloured card and were kept together using two small pebbles as book ends. I also decided to change the style of chair. Using the Method I had for the table, I stacked stones on top of each other and placed a piece of bark on top for the seat, held together with a chair back.
Again I used moss to cover any visible glue stains and also creeping up the side as if it were growing naturally.
I am so proud of this tiny desk and cant wait to get started on the other furniture!
